Peter Schiff, a long-time Bitcoin skeptic and staunch gold advocate, is making an unexpected pivot into blockchain technology. His company, Schiff Gold, is developing an application that will enable users to buy, hold, and transfer tokenized gold. This move marks a significant shift for Schiff, who has consistently dismissed cryptocurrencies as speculative assets.

The upcoming app, revealed in an interview with crypto influencer Michael Jerome, will allow users to purchase vaulted gold and tokenize ownership. Fractional amounts can be spent via debit card or redeemed for physical coins. Schiff frames gold as the ideal asset for blockchain—tangible, time-tested, and now digitally efficient. "You’ll be able to carry all your gold around in your phone," he said, positioning the app as a bridge between traditional value and modern utility.
